Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) June 29, 2007 -- TransNexus, Inc. has released V3.0 of its NexSRS Service Control Point - Peering Server for Linux and Sun Solaris operating systems. The new release may be used as a VoIP Service Control Point (SCP) for multiple softswitches or session border controllers which need advanced routing and call treatment features. The NexSRS SCP is especially valuable for SIP trunking providers and VoIP wholesale carriers whom can benefit from Least Cost Routing for up to two million routes.

Similar to a traditional PSTN SCP, the NexSRS SCP features include call routing and treatment based on the context of the VoIP call. Specific call treatment can be configured based on the calling party, called party, source and destination carriers, source and destination IP addresses, time of day and day of week. In addition to comprehensive routing and number translation features, the NexSRS SCP also collects call detail records in real time.

The Sun Solaris version of the NexSRS platform can also be deployed as a secure peering server. Its public key infrastructure (PKI) features include an X.509 certificate authority for creating a trusted network among anonymous VoIP peers and secure peer to peer inter-carrier access control with digitally signed tokens. Fraud proof inter-carrier accounting and settlement is made possible by the real time collection of call detail records, encrypted by TLS, from both the source and destination carriers. These same features may also be deployed by enterprises to create a secure VoIP VPN among enterprise branch office PBXs.

The NexSRS server may deployed with any SIP based softswitch or session border controller and has been optimized for operation with Cisco IP-IP gateways, OpenSER and SIP Express Router. The NexSRS server also supports Cisco's GKTMP protocol and the ETSI OSP protocol for secure VoIP peering.
